Join the Independent Living Program
The Independent Living Program (ILP) provides services to assist foster youths ages 16-21 in their transition to independent living and self-sufficiency. The Department of Family and Children's Services currently has a contract with the Bill Wilson Center (BWC) to provide ILP case management services. ILP services are co-located at The Hub, a community center led and organized by foster youths and the BWC, to make foster youth services easy to access. Some of the services offered include:

ILP can support you with securing employment, applying for college and finding housing. An emancipated youth stipend (EYS) may be available for qualifying hardships. ILP organizes and hosts events and parties to encourage celebrations of accomplishments and holidays with their peers. This also gives people a place to go and be with others during times when people are with their family.
