Vision
The County of Santa Clara is a diverse community whose older adults and adults with disabilities of all income levels are able to remain as independent as possible in their homes and communities.
Mission
To assist older adults and adults with disabilities, and their families, to maximize self-sufficiency, safety, health and independence so that they can remain living in the community for as long as possible and maintain the highest quality of life.

- Keep older and dependent adults safe and healthy in their own homes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of conserved individuals.
- Provide nutritious meals to support the health of older adults.

Programs and services
Adult Protective Services
Adult Protective Services helps to stop the abuse of elder and dependent adults.
In-Home Supportive Services
In-Home Supportive Services offers services in the home for Medi-Cal eligible older adults and dependent adults. Clients remain safe in their own homes and avoid the need for out-of-home care.
Senior Nutrition Program
The Senior Nutrition Program serves hot meals to older adults in many locations throughout the County of Santa Clara.
Age-friendly Santa Clara County
The Seniors’ Agenda is a partnership between the County of Santa Clara, its 15 cities, and over 100 community organizations.
Conservatorship
The Public Administrator, Guardian, Conservator ensures the safety of persons who cannot care for themselves and manages the estates of persons who die without a will or executor.
